About Web Tonic

Web Tonic is a performance-driven digital marketing agency providing Google Ads, SEO, Meta and TikTok advertising, web design, and full growth marketing programs.

We work with fast-growing brands and enterprise clients across North America, the Middle East and Asia, delivering content in English and French.

About the role

We're looking for a bilingual Video Editor who can turn raw footage, scripts and AI-generated material into engaging short-form content and effective video ads.

Your work will cover three areas:

  • Personal branding: Content for founders and executives, including Web Tonic's founder.
  • Organic social: Short-form videos for client brands.
  • Paid advertising: Video ads for Meta, TikTok and YouTube.

You'll use AI tools regularly to improve production speed and expand creative possibilities, while maintaining natural-looking, polished results.

Every video requires French and English versions, so excellent written and spoken skills in both languages are essential.

Success in this role means delivering quality videos on time, minimizing revisions, and using performance feedback to improve engagement and ad results.

What you'll do

Personal branding and organic content

  • Edit talking-head videos, podcast clips, behind-the-scenes content and event footage for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
  • Turn long-form recordings into short clips with strong hooks, clear pacing, captions, B-roll, sound design and branded graphics.
  • Maintain consistent visual styles and tone across each founder's or client's content.

Short-form advertising

  • Create UGC-style ads, founder-led ads, product demos, testimonials and motion content from static assets.
  • Produce hook and call-to-action variations for testing.
  • Adapt videos to 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 formats, following platform specifications and safe zones.
  • Improve edits using feedback on hook rate, hold rate and click-through rate.

AI video production

  • Create and edit AI avatars, voice-overs, dubbing, B-roll and generated scenes.
  • Use tools such as Higgsfield Genjutsu, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Veo, Kling, Runway, Seedance or suitable alternatives.
  • Refine lip-sync, pacing, transitions, color and sound to produce natural, consistent results.
  • Build templates, presets and AI-assisted workflows that reduce turnaround time while maintaining quality.

Bilingual delivery

  • Produce French and English versions, including subtitles, on-screen text, voice-overs or dubbing.
  • Adapt wording and delivery for each audience.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong focus on short-form vertical content.
  • Native-level French and English, written and spoken, including accurate captions and on-screen text. Both languages are required.
  • A portfolio demonstrating personal branding or founder content and short-form ads.
  • Practical experience using AI video tools in real client projects.
  • Regular use of AI to improve your workflow, with examples you can demonstrate.
  • Proficiency in Higgsfield Genjutsu or a more advanced AI video model.
  • Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut Pro, plus working knowledge of After Effects or motion templates.
  • Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, calls to action and platform requirements.
  • Ability to deliver agreed batches of edits within 24–48 hours.
  • A computer capable of handling 4K footage, reliable internet and an organized file-management system.

Nice to have

  • Agency experience working across multiple brands.
  • Motion design, sound design and color-grading skills.
  • Familiarity with Quebec French, including accents and expressions.
  • Experience with Frame.io or similar review tools.
  • Familiarity with Teamwork or other project-management tools.
  • Basic scripting and hook-writing skills.

Compensation and growth

The role pays USD 1,200–1,500 per month for approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours as production volume grows.

How to apply

Please submit:

  • Your CV and full portfolio.
  • Three short-form videos you edited: one personal branding video, one ad and one using AI video. For each, briefly explain the source material, your contribution and the outcome. Include performance results where available.
  • A short written response or a Loom video of up to three minutes walking us through your process for selected examples and explaining which AI tools you currently use and how much time they save.
